At American & Sub-Saharan CDC, we are committed to improving the lives and welfare of individuals in our communities, both here in America and in Sub-Saharan Africa. Sub-Saharan Africa is a region of Africa south of the Sahara Desert, made up of forty-two countries on the African continent and six island nations. The region has a rich cultural and ethnic diversity, with strong Christian influence dating from colonialism.
However, despite its cultural wealth, Sub-Saharan Africa is also one of the poorest regions in the world. Millions of its inhabitants live in poverty, lack access to clean water and sufficient healthcare, and face many other challenges. At American & Sub-Saharan CDC, we believe in building stronger communities by promoting economic development, healthcare access, food security, affordable housing, and more.
Our main services include healthcare access, food banks, affordable housing, and other initiatives that promote community development. We work with local organizations and community members to identify areas of need and develop solutions that address the unique challenges facing our communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Through our Poverty Reduction Initiative, we aim to improve economic opportunities and provide access to basic needs, such as clean water, education, and healthcare. We also provide humanitarian aid and disaster relief services to communities affected by natural disasters, conflicts, and other crises.
